Life and Loans Insurance
Whitehaven, Egremont & District Credit Union offers free life and loan insurance.
In the event of death from any cause, the policy pays for
Shares – Half the amount of the member’s shares up to £15,000, or such sum as prescribed by law. For example, if you have £2,000 saved with us, next of kin will get your £2,000 plus £1,000 life insurance.
Loans – The outstanding balance of loans due, subject to the above limits (less any arrears outstanding on the date of death).
